Important conveyor specifications to note
- It is always important to note the loading capacity of the conveyor system. The loading capacity is measured per loading capacity over the unit length. As manufacturers we custom build conveyor belts with unit lengths and the users determine what loading capacity works for them.
- The loading capacity to be loaded maximum onto the conveyor system. The value of the maximum loading capacity is determined for a fixed length of a conveyor system. The loading capacity against the unit length also known as the flow rate of the conveyor system.
- The main important characteristic customers consider when purchasing a conveyor belt is the speed of the conveyor belt over what period of time. Roller conveyors move over powered rollers with the speed rate determined by linear velocity.
- Throughput is another important thing which is the measurement of the capacity that the conveyor can handle of bulk products similar to powdered materials. It is the cubic feet per minute and the throughput applies to vibrate, bucket, vacuum and walking beam conveyors.
- The conveyor frame configuration is also considered as it can be curved, straight or any other shape according to the customers’ preference and use.
- The drives of the conveyor systems are put in place along the conveyor systems. End or head drive is found at the end of the conveyor while there are center drives installed along the conveyor system. The center drives are mounted underneath and they are very useful for the reversing of the system.
